I went to graduate school in the US, (majored in Architecture) and was on an F1 visa from the period 2006-2009.I graduated in Aug 2008 and applied for an H1 through a consultancy firm.The petition for an H1 visa was approved, but I decided to return back home anyway and came home in 2009.
2 weeks ago, I visited the States for a week for a conference on a B1/B2 visa. I eventually want to return to the States and work there and therefore, need advice in this regard...
Given that my petition for an H1 has been approved, will the company that offers me employment have to reapply for an H1 for me?Or can the H1 be transferred from the Consultant company(that got me the H1), to the new company easily?!
Any help in this matter will be highly appreciated!

Is there any way we can check our labor processing status as it is a genral fact that no employer would prefer to give his employee to access his status and at the same time they would not let employee to call attorney directly.So in this kind of scenario I was just wondering is there anyway we can track the status.

I have got exactly the same RFE.....i am going to send the same documents and hoping that this is enough. There was one question that was bothering me on my i485RFE. It started like this...............
Your FORM I485 Application Must be accompanied with two colored Photographs.................
I am confused if they mean that i should re submit the i485 application or just the letter taht came with it.
i also never got any colored sheet as i have heard most of the people got. Is this normal practise or something i should be conserned about

FATCA establishes a MINIMUM penalty of $10,000 for failure to report foreign ASSETS over $50,000 on your tax return. FATCA filing is required in addition to FBAR filing. Who ever filed FBAR, please be aware of this new law from next year onwards , since the penalty is so high.

I filed my 485 in Dec 2004.My PD is June 2004.
Got married in 2005.
If (Less Probability..) i get my 485 approved and not able to add my Spouse's to my 485.
What would be my Options.

I filed my EAD online for the first time on May 9th. Yesterday I got an approved card for my wife and I. It is interesting how fast that came and that I did not need to send pictures nor did I go for fingerprinting. My initial finger printing and picture taken for 485 was used to give me the EAD
However, NSC issued the EAD for 1 year only. I called up help desk and asked them why 1 year and not 2 years. They checked their records and saw I was eligible for 2 year, then they transferred me to Level 2 support. The Level 2 support after looking at my case, put me on hold for sometime and then came back and said, the period of EAD was done at the discretion of NSC. So if I do not want it, I should send it back and ask them to reopen my case.
Guys any advise or should I wait for 1 year and hope next year they will issue a 2 year EAD?? I really do not want to send my EAD back...
