I have a simply question, not urgent, not immediate
I moved to a different place (same city), but my wife is out of country. I am trying to file AR-11 for change of address, but it is asking for Last Port of entry. Is AR11 needed only for people who are currently in the country.
She needs to fill-in new address in the I-94 form at the time of reentry into the US. She won't need to file AR-11, as her I-94 has most recent address.
Please verify this with your attorney.

Iam in a similar situation as Ihitha. Iam planning to go to Chennai in June for stamping. Which answer do you think would be a convincing one for that question asked by the VO ?
Also after changing from L1 to H1, i had my H1 transferred between 3 companies (i changed jobs within a span of 1 month), and the current employer iam working for, iam working for about 1 year and 3 months. When i go for stamping, would they be asking for paystubs from those two companies, or does it matter only with the latest company iam working for ?
It wouldd be great if someone can help me with some suggestions.

May be the final verdict is in favour, you need to take so much of pain in the whole processes. If you prepare for these upfront you can go a head and fight. I had seen couple of instances in the NY, with my friends, where non-compete became VOID.

... But the consulting firm advised against it as according to them if she re-enters in H4 (even before Oct 1) while her H1 approval is pending, her H1 application will be cancelled and she has to restart the process all over again. Something to do with the last status on re-entry.
I think this issue used to be there. Why do you think otherwise? COS is not computerized to happen on Oct 1. It is manual process, while approving H1B, it is done. When someone enters after that on H4, then that COS is overwritten.
What lawyer is telling in this regard?

This appears to be more relavant given the need for rejuvenating the state chapters. Why not we have this as simple links on the main page itself and make it damn easy to join the chapter. The most important thing to do is to have the members join the chapters and have the contact numbers. Once these are there the IV state chapters could follow up and get the activities rolling with these members.
Bottom line: Have the state chapter joining links on the main page and have it simplified for the members to join very easily ( kind of taking the name, contact number and email and nothing more) later the chapter core could get in touch with them and get the complete profile. A kind of marketing gimmick.

Send a detailed letter explaining that you are at a risk of losing job to the EAD expedite fax line.
Another alternative is to take infopass and explain the situation to them and take the letter with you so that can send it to the proper place.

My wife got a job offer on contract basis for 3 months. I am on h1 and she is on h4 so far. I am planning to stay on h1 itself. If my wife accepts this job using EAD, Does my status also changes? Is it okay if she dont find a job after this contract expires, what status she will be in during that time, h4 or EAD?
Please advice, Thanks a lot ....
